| County Young Umpire Co-ordinator needed | |
As I am soon to leave the county set-up (moving to Cambridgeshire in Jul 12) the association is looking for someone to take on the role of Oxfordshire Hockey Young Umpire officer. This role (fully supported by the association) is there to assist all the young persons within Oxfordshire to become and develop their umpiring skills, with a view to offering them support at both County & South level. As the County representative, you will also have seat on the South Region Young Umpire Action Group, which is the next level for all county young umpires to progress to, prior to hopeful promotion onto the National Young Umpire panel listings. This is very rewarding role and one I have very much enjoyed over the past 3 years, so if you would be interested in taking on the role, then please get in touch with me to discuss further. | Summer League Hockey at Banbury Road North - AVAILABILITY needed NOW! | |
Summer League Hockey starts in May. Please enter your availability now in the usual manner. We expect to proceed on the same basis as previous years - Ladies hockey on Monday and Tuesday nights , Mens Summer League on Wednesday nights. Matches played on both pitches at 18:30 and 20:00. The Ladies Summer League will be used to coach and assess Level 1 candidate umpires. Note : Umpires are not paid expenses for officiating at Summer League matches - this is purely to keep your eye in! | |
| TRYSPORTS Umpiring Expenses | |
Entering & Claiming Expenses There are 2 steps to go through to get expenses paid. 1. The system will remind you to enter your expenses for each game you have umpired as an appointed umpire. 2. At regular intervals you should go into your personal area and CLAIM your expenses. When you do this, the expenses will appear within the accounts system for payment. If you do not claim your expenses then they will not be visible for payment. The treasurer for TRYSPORTS umpires will pay CLAIMED expenses on a regular basis for those umpires that have provided bank details. For those wishing to be paid by cheque, payments will be made twice a season, about halfway through and after all matches have been completed. | |
